I’m a Texas girl at heart — splitting my time between Galveston Island and our family farm just outside Austin, where I built a barndominium with my son, Alexander, and our goldendoodle, Max.
In 2022, while visiting friends in Mexico, I wandered into a small tienda and discovered what would become the Amy tote. My three daughters and I each chose a different color, completely captivated by the craftsmanship and character of the bags. Back home, I couldn’t carry one without being stopped and asked where it came from.
Curious to learn more, I tracked down the artisan studio in Guadalajara, flew out to meet the family behind the work, and began curating a collection that truly spoke to me. Every bag is thoughtfully named after a woman who has shaped my life in some way.
KURIOSA is both our name and our mission.
